Black and Gold Eatery – North Shore
The North Shore has produced many of Auckland’s best features; Takapuna Beach, Taka Thursday nights and the mighty North Harbour Rugby team. But we think we’ve uncovered the true gem of the shore.
Black and Gold eatery have mastered the art of creating beautifully smooth and refreshing iced coffees, using the finest beans that the team over at Eighthirty have created. Poured into a simple yet classy glass you are able to watch the hypnotising dance between the coffee, ice and milk right before you smash it back and ask for another one.
There are very little fancy frills or extra add-ons to their iced coffee and in all honesty, we believe that’s the best way to have it. So get on out to the shore and thank us later.

Long Shot – Ponsonby
Smack bang in the heart of cafe loving heaven is this wee gem. Long Shot is the younger sibling to Long Room, but don’t let your rucas Friday nights put you off this little haven.
These guys have really knocked it out of the park with their iced coffee and cold brew game. There definitely is beauty in simplicity and their iced coffee is a great example. Using only the finest beans on offer, they don’t touch it up with any fancy whipped cream or flowers and rainbows.
